On Friday August 20th one of Newfoundland's literary treasures, Kevin Major, opens the evening, followed by Alexander McCall Smith.
The Zimbabwean-born McCall Smith is a respected academic, an amateur musician, and a remarkably prolific author who is one of the world's best-selling writers. His No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series alone has sold more than 20 million copies, and has been translated into 45 languages. Musical entertainment will be provided by The Mountains and the Trees - otherwise known as singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jon Janes - an act creating plenty of buzz in the province and beyond.
