Writers at woody Point Returns August 20-25

There is no hibernation for the volunteers and staff who make up the Friends of Writers at Woody Point.

Through the dark winter months, we have been working away at our 21st festival, contacting writers and musicians, building a schedule, mixing the fresh and the familiar and having lots of fun planning some surprises.

And now comes the time to let you in on what we’ve been up to…..

Over the next couple of weeks, we will unveil our 2024 line-up. In April, we will publish our complete schedule, including our many free events. Stay tuned on our social media, website, and newsletter as we roll it all out.

We are extremely excited about this year’s festival. It is an eclectic mix of old favourites and first timers. It features a wide range of genres, both in music and in literature, including our first ever graphic novelist.

There will be writers who have spent months on the bestseller lists. There will be exciting new voices. We will reveal a special guest on-stage interviewer who you will all recognise. And Saturday night at the Legion is going to be one for the ages…..

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, May 11th, at 11 am EST. All our tickets are sold through Ticketpro, on their website, and over the phone. As is always the case, our capacity in the Heritage Theatre is extremely limited, and we expect demand to be high, so please be prepared.
