Coming Soon - A Writers at Woody Point Podcast
Writers at Woody Point: As I Begin to Tell This
Produced by Avery Moore Kloss, Folktale Studio
This summer, Friends of Writers at Woody Point presents an oral history podcast celebrating 20 seasons of coming together over songs and stories at the Woody Point Heritage Theatre.
About the Production
To record the six episodes of Writers at Woody Point: As I Begin to Tell This, Avery Moore Kloss worked with Executive Director Pilvi Keto-LeBlanc and producer Olivia Ball at the 2023 festival, marking twenty seasons of creating magic with writers and musicians at the Heritage Theatre.
Recorded at Max’s shed, owned by the celebrated Max Simms, behind the festival live sound, the podcast features long-form interviews with festival founders discussing the event’s origins, alongside local and literary guests, culminating in a soundscape from Writers at Woody Point.
Among local voices, you will hear from Artistic Director Stephen Brunt, Alison Gzowski, and Shelagh Rogers; Charlie Payne, Mallory Johnson, plus Michael Crummey and Des Walsh; Lawrence Hill and Angela Antle; featuring the music of Kyleigh Brisson and Duane Andrews.
