This year's Writers at Woody Point festival is happening from August 20-25 and we'll kick it all off with an incredible show featuring Jeremy Dutcher and special guests Charm of Finches.

We are very sad to learn of the passing of Clyde Rose, a monumental figure in Newfoundland and Labrador culture as well as a friend, a neighbour and one of the original hosts of Writers at Woody Point.

We are thrilled to announce that Sarah Polley will be joining us this summer as our festival's first-ever Oscar nominated guest!
Sarah is a true Canadian icon and she's in the running for Best Picture, as well as Best Adapted Screenplay for her incredible screenwriting and direction of the film adaptation of Women Talking based on Miriam Toews' equally incredible novel.
